Storelane privacy practices

Information we collect

We collect information creators provide directly, including account details, storefront content, product information, support messages, and contact form submissions. We may also collect usage, device, browser, and performance data.

Google Calendar data

When you choose to connect your Google Calendar to Storelane, you authorize Storelane to create, update, and delete booking events on Google Calendars that you own. This access is used solely to provide the scheduling features you request, including creating appointment events for customer bookings, inviting customers as attendees, sending event updates, generating Google Meet links when you choose Google Meet, and updating or canceling Storelane-created booking events when a booking is rescheduled, refunded, or canceled. Storelane does not use Google Calendar data for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Storelane only accesses Google Calendar data as necessary to provide the requested booking functionality and in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy. If you disconnect your Google account or revoke Storelane's access, Storelane immediately stops accessing your Google Calendar. Any stored Google OAuth credentials are securely deleted or revoked within a reasonable period unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, or compliance with applicable laws. Google Calendar data is never sold or shared with third parties except when necessary to provide the requested service through Google's APIs or when required by law.

Third-Party Integrations

Storelane allows creators to connect third-party services to enhance their storefront and automate parts of their business. These integrations are optional and are only activated after you explicitly authorize Storelane to access your account with the respective provider. Depending on the integrations you choose to enable, Storelane may access and use data solely to provide the requested functionality. Examples include: Google Calendar: to create, update, and manage booking events for customer appointments. Google Meet: to generate meeting links for scheduled appointments.Zoom: to schedule meetings or webinars associated with bookings. Stripe: to process payments, payouts, refunds, and subscription billing.Other supported integrations: to deliver the features you explicitly enable within Storelane.Storelane only accesses the minimum data and permissions necessary to provide the functionality you request. We do not use data obtained through third-party integrations for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or training generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. You may disconnect any third-party integration at any time through your Storelane account settings or through the third-party provider's account settings. Once access is revoked, Storelane will no longer access new data from that service, and any stored access credentials will be securely deleted or revoked within a reasonable period unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, or compliance with applicable laws.Your use of third-party services is also governed by the respective provider's terms of service and privacy policies. Storelane is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services.

How we use information

We use information to operate Storelane, authenticate users, host storefronts, process creator workflows, provide support, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and communicate service updates.

Payments and service providers

Payment details may be handled by third-party payment processors. We may share certain account, usage, and storefront information with vendors that help provide hosting, analytics, email, payment, security, infrastructure, and support services. This general vendor sharing never includes Google user data. Google Calendar data and other data obtained through Google APIs are used and shared only as described in the "Google Calendar data" and "Google API limited use" sections — solely to provide and improve the user-facing booking features you request — and are never shared with analytics, advertising, email marketing, or other vendors for any other purpose.

Storefront customers

When a customer buys from or contacts a creator through Storelane, information related to that purchase or request may be made available to the creator so they can fulfill the transaction or respond.

Google API limited use

Storelane's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Storelane uses Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing booking and scheduling features that the creator requests. Storelane does not use or transfer Google user data for serving advertisements, does not sell Google user data, does not use it for any form of marketing, user profiling, or analytics beyond the requested features, and does not use it to train generalized AI or machine learning models. Storelane does not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have the creator's explicit consent for specific data, it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, to comply with applicable law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

Retention and security

We retain information as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. We protect sensitive data, including Google Calendar data and Google OAuth credentials, using the following mechanisms: all data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher (HTTPS); Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256; access to sensitive data is restricted to authorized personnel on a least-privilege, need-to-know basis and protected by authentication and access controls; each creator's data is logically isolated to their own account; and we monitor and review our systems to detect and respond to unauthorized access. Creators can disconnect Google Calendar from the Storelane dashboard, which stops future Calendar access. Creators can also request deletion of stored Google integration data by contacting contact@getstorelane.com. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.

Your choices

You can request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information by contacting contact@getstorelane.com. Some requests may be limited by legal, security, or operational requirements.

Account Deletion

You may delete your Storelane account at any time through the Storelane application or by contacting us using the information provided in this Privacy Policy. When your account is deleted, we will permanently delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted to retain certain information to comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our agreements, or meet legitimate business and accounting obligations. Some records, such as completed transactions, invoices, payment records, tax information, or security logs, may be retained for the period required by applicable law or our legitimate business interests. These retained records are securely stored and are not used for marketing purposes. If you have connected third-party services, such as Google Calendar or Zoom, Storelane will revoke or delete the associated access credentials and will no longer access those services after your account is deleted.
